Peter Boatman was an Inspector with Northamptonshire Police and was instrumental in Officer Safety Training (devised under a system known as Unarmed Defensive Tactics) throughout the UK.

Peter was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for his work in officer safety. He was also very active as an expert witness.

After his retirement from the police service, he became a director of Pro-Tect Systems which held the sole licence for the supply of Taser devices in the UK.
